For Inktober I made... ink! As part of my return to natural materials, I started making my own calligraphy ink, based on ancient and durable recipes, and went on to experiment with what I could find while out foraging. I prepare them in small batches in my studio and they are completely environment-friendly. A tip for painting the night sky

Recently I've noticed a lot of people when painting the night sky will place stars in the dark part of a half moon, which using logic and reason would require the stars to be closer than the moon, like so While in reality that space should be completely dark like so I've seen this in photomanipulations as well and I just thought since it's probably not a thing many people really think about it could be a nice tip for future art pieces. Definitely not intending for this to shame anyone who may not have thought of this, just thought that little bit of extra realism with basically no extra effort required would be a fun thing to share
